Africa Forum 2017: Driving Investment for Inclusive Growth

From December 7 to 9, the second annual Africa Forum, a landmark event focused on promoting African Trade and Investment, hosted under the High Patronage of H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, will take place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. The event is jointly organized by the Government of Egypt – through the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation – and the COMESA Regional Investment Agency.

The Africa 2017 Forum is a government-to-business and business-to-business platform, focusing on key strategic sectors. This year’s Forum will focus on “Driving Investment for Inclusive Growth”, providing a platform to increase private sector cooperation in Africa and catalyze investment into sectors of strategic interest to our continent. The event will built upon the success of the inaugural Africa Forum 2016, where six African heads of state and more than 1,000 delegates from 45 countries participated, resulting in over 300 one-to-one meetings, and a number of MOUs, across multiple sectors, being signed. This year, the programme has been enhanced with the addition of a Young Entrepreneur’s Day.
